FEB 7 - ABA, ICBA Urge Opposition to CU Biz-Lending Bill
ABA and the Independent Community Bankers of America yesterday strongly urged all House members to oppose a bill (H.R. 1418) that would raise the member business-lending cap for qualifying credit unions from 12.25 percent to 27.5 percent of total assets. More Newsbytes ![]()

Consumer Credit Jumps $19.3 Billion
Consumer credit raised $19.3 billion, or 9.3%, in December, putting overall credit levels at their highest level since mid-2009. The increase was driven by non-revolving credit, rising $16.6 billion, 12.5%, its largest gain since November 2001.
